The recent workshop at Jinan University, graciously hosted by Prof. Fei Guo and Prof. Ning Li—both distinguished alumni of i-MEET and now esteemed professors at Jinan and SCUT—was a truly inspiring event. Christoph, Karen, Larry, and several of our students had the privilege to attend and were immersed in a vibrant exchange of ideas and innovations. The workshop showcased outstanding talks on emerging topics in organics, perovskite solar cells, and other cutting-edge electronic applications, sparking new perspectives and enthusiasm. It was heartening to see many former i-MEET members, now accomplished researchers, among the presenters, alongside respected colleagues and international partners. The workshop was concluded with a visit at Mellow Solar, which Prof. Ma kindly organized for the visiting Erlangen team. Mellow Solar is leading the production of flexible perovskite modules and we hope to receive first samples soon!
Held under the auspices of the Sino-German collaborative projects initiated by DFG and CSC, the event exemplified the spirit of academic exchange and the deepening cooperation between China and Germany in the field of advanced materials and energy research.
