Our recent research led by the Helmholtz Institute Erlangen-Nürnberg for Renewable Energy (HI ERN), FAU Solar, KIT has been featured in PV Magazine. The study, recently published in Science, highlights an innovative hybrid approach combining organic synthesis and predictive modeling to discover new functional materials for perovskite solar cells.
By leveraging machine learning, high-throughput synthesis, and advanced computational tools, the research team developed novel hole transport materials (HTMs) with record-breaking efficiencies of up to 26.2% and certified stability of over 1,000 hours. This interdisciplinary effort paves the way for autonomous workflows in materials discovery and device optimization.
