We are pleased to share insights from the 13th International Conference on Porphyrins and Phthalocyanines (ICPP), held from June 23-28, 2024, at Niagara Falls, USA. This event, organized by the Society of Porphyrins and Phthalocyanines (SPP), brought together scientists from various fields—including chemistry, physics, biology, biochemistry, and material science—to discuss advancements in porphyrins, phthalocyanines, and related macrocycles.
Prof. Dirk Guldi contributed significantly to the conference as the chair of the “Artificial Photosynthetic Systems” session. He also presented an invited lecture titled “Step-Changing Solar Energy Conversion Schemes via Subphthalocyanines,” where he discussed new methods for improving solar energy conversion.
The ICPP 13 conference served as a valuable platform for sharing knowledge and fostering collaboration among researchers.
